Blogging is obviously not my forte!

Hi! One day, if I am too old to do anything else, I'll actually have time to do a daily blog. Until then, I'm doing the best I can!

Hi everybody, 

long time, no blog!  We're trudging along at JFK and looking for a home in Manhattan.  I've been here eight months, and it hasn't been boring; lots of fires to put out, lots to learn about, sometimes I rhyme and shout!  L.A. is calling us too, we'll see if  we can answer.  We just finished our segment in a shoe shine documentary, and I'm patiently waiting to be discovered!

Time flies at the airport!

We're going big at A Shine & Co;  not six months in the big apple and 

a second airline has invited us to shine at their terminal!  I'll be less mysterious when the contract is signed!

New York, New York, It's a HELL of a shoeshine toooown!

Did I say I was back? I'm baaack!  It was good to be gone, now it's good to be back!  Busy, busy, busy, on both coasts; we took staff photos at One Embarcadero, shined in San Diego and held it together at JFK!  Coming soon to Manhattan...The Big Apple is going to be blind from our shine!

Hi!  We're here at the Park Manor ( beautiful hotel, btw )  San Francisco was a blast, our new shop in the Embarcadero looks so awesome ( Great job Ray & Kealani )!  We took staff photos which you'll see soon on our website.  We're lucky to have such a super group of people working with us!  Thank you all!

Working vacation!

Hello folks!

Things are going nice and smooth at JFK T5, where we have a great crew there as well as San Francisco...  I'm on my way out west for a week of rest (not) and a week of shining with our friends at Minnesota Life for the NASSP show in San Diego with Meghan, our CEO. I can't wait to see our newest shoe shine stand at Embarcadero Center One which our COO, Rachel, has done a great job of setting up (thanks to the helpers, you know who you are) ! Hey, what's my position?

Coast to Coast!

Great news,  we're opening up our newest location at the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco! After many requests from our hard- walking customers, many who'd travel four or five blocks (or more) to get a shine from us -  we finally did it!   Looking forward to seeing you folks soon.  We're making a lot of friends at jetBlue, and New York ain't seen nothin' yet!

JetBlue meets my Kev's shoe.

Only eight days between blogs, not bad for me.

Anyway, We recieved an email in July of last year from jetBlue, asking if we'd be interested in submitting a proposal to shine at the new Terminal 5 at JFK.  What I heard later was that a jetBlue VP saw us performing at a special event in SF and sold someone on having our business in New York City!  Here I am, three months later, living and working in Queens!  It's been a rollercoaster ride ( I'm still on it, actually ) and we're busting a**!   Signing off.

2009-Our year to shine!

Happy New Year!!! 

My 2009 resolution is to write a blog every week of this year- 52 to be exact!

We are now the first shoeshine company to be coast to coast- if you haven't heard, located in the new Terminal 5 for jetBlue Airways!  I have packed my bags and landed in Queens, New York, and another chapter of unmanagability is to unfold at the gateway of America!   A lot of people helped make it possible and I want to thank them all, alas, I am falling asleep as I write this, maybe next blog I'll tell the JetBlue story.  Good night and  keep shining!

The Latest!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, but I'm getting closer to bridging the gap between shoe shining and technology ( no computerized shines yet, though, hahaha )! We've been very busy, now that Giants season is here; ( we're on the Suite level at many of the weekday day games ) and Meg and I also did an event in San Antonio, TX for Minnesota Life at the NASSP. ( Thanks, guys! )

GQ Magazine had me shining at Bloomingdales in three cities in three days, ( S.D., L.A.,& S.F.) it was a fun and exciting show!

We also started A Shine & Co. Shoeshine Master Class, to improve and widen our talent pool, so stay tuned to see us swimmin'!

There is a new stand on the horizon, but it's still hush-hush ( hint: shoeshines and coffee, yum ).

Okay, I'm done for now, pray to the Blog gods I remember to do this again, tomorrow!

Happy Holidays!

Hi there, everyone!

Obviously, I am not doing a daily blog yet! It's been a very busy couple of months; between the Raiders, the Warriors, promotional office shines, refurbishing 555 California, Shreve Jewelers and Crown Royal, as well as of the rest of our shine empire. We're busy, I tell ya!

I'm also working on new info and photos for our website, my space, linked in, and facebook! 2008 will have us offering beautiful black shoebags to protect your shoes after shoe repairs and drop-offs and for the first time, we'll be selling A Shine and Co. workshirts due to the many client requests ( Thank you! ).

Without our loyal staff and clients, we wouldn't be the business we are today, so I want to wish you all infinite happiness and a peaceful, restful season! See ya soon!

Hello, shiny happy people!

Hi, everyone!

Welcome to our very first blog!
This has been our best year ever; with five shoeshine stands, our complimentary service for the S.F. Giants, the Oakland Raiders and the Golden State Warriors as well as special events with GQ, San Francisco Magazine, Hendrick's Gin, Giorgio Armani, and the S.F. Chamber of Commerce!

Rachel's son Ronan turned one, Meghan is attending Mills College for her MBA, and Kevin is finally getting that black tooth looked at!
